Court urges gov't to settle wartime rapes of Chinese
TOKYO, Japan - Zhao runmei, one of ten Chinese plaintiffs who claim they were raped by Japanese soldiers during World War II, speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on April 24 after their damages suit was rejected by the Tokyo District Court. The court urged the Japanese government to reach a settlement with the plaintiffs.
