Tuatara a threatened species in New Zealand
SYDNEY, Australia - Tuataras are the last reptile on Earth that were on the planet at the same time as dinosaurs -- around 220 million years ago. They are listed as a threatened species and although they have a total population of about 100,000, there are few left on New Zealand's Little Barrier Island.
