Expo body, Toyota to provide advanced transport systems

NAGOYA, Japan - Harumi Sakamoto (R), secretary general of the Japan Association for the 2005 World Exposition, looks at a miniature model of Intelligent Multimode Transit System (IMTS), a rail-less, train-like transportation system, to be developed by Toyota Motor Corp. for the exposition to be held in Aichi Prefecture, at his office in Nagoya on July 8.

Toyota unveils pavilion for Aichi Expo

NAGOYA, Japan - An opening ceremony for Toyota Motor Corp.'s pavilion at the World Exposition in Aichi Prefecture is held in front of the pavilion on March 10. Toyota's pavilion will feature eight performing humanoid robots, which can play musical instruments, including the drums, trumpet and tuba, and also fill in as disc jockeys. The exposition will begin on March 25.
