TOKYO, Japan - Lanes outbound from Tokyo on the Tohoku Expressway near an interchange in Kuki, Saitama Prefecture are jammed as Japanese head for their hometowns Aug. 13, when the annual exodus from urban centers peaked amid the Bon summer holidays.
