Dozens of hopefuls turn out for plots in Tokyo graveyard
TOKYO, Japan - A drawing of lots for expensive tomb space in the prestigious Aoyama Cemetery in Tokyo is held at the Tokyo metropolitan government office on Aug. 19. The 30 plots being offered, the first in 43 years at the 130-year-old cemetery, drew applications from 970 people.
