World's tallest roller coaster stops suddenly, 2 hurt
TSU, Japan - The world's tallest and longest roller coaster at Nagashima Spaland in Nagashima, Mie Prefecture, halted suddenly on Aug. 23, seriously injuring one passenger and another person at a nearby pool. The first car of the Steel Dragon 2000 roller coaster stopped about 8 meters above the ground after running off the track.
