Catcher Ito to replace Ihara as Seibu Lions manager

TOKYO, Japan - Veteran catcher Tsutomu Ito (R) will retire as a player of the Seibu Lions and take the helm as manager for the Pacific League club starting next season after Haruki Ihara (L) steps down from the post, baseball officials said on Sept. 17.
