U.S. appreciates Japan's $1.5 bil. aid offer for Iraq
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. Ambassador to Japan Howard Baker (R) meets Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi at the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo on Oct. 15. Baker told reporters after the meeting that the United States expressed appreciation for Japan's plan to provide $1.5 billion in grants in 2004 to help rebuild Iraq.
