'Little Matsui' to exercise rights as free agent
FUKUOKA, Japan - Seibu Lions shortstop Kazuo Matsui announces at a news conference in Fukuoka on Oct. 28 that he will exercise his rights as a free agent. He said on Oct. 16 that he had told club officials of his wish to play in the U.S. major leagues next season.
