KOSHIEN, Japan - Former Hanshin Tigers manager Senichi Hoshino waves to fans after thanking them for their support this year in an address at a gathering of fans at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture on Nov. 23. The Hoshino-led baseball club won the Central League pennant this season for the first time in 18 years although it lost in the Japan Series to the Daiei Hawks. Hoshino stepped down after the season.
