DaimlerChrysler delivers fuel-cell car to Tokyo Gas

TOKYO, Japan - Two officials from the Japan unit of DaimlerChrysler AG pose beside a fuel-cell-powered passenger car, the F-Cell, the company delivered to Tokyo Gas Co. in a ceremony in Tokyo on Dec. 4. This is the first time a fuel-cell vehicle was actually handed over to a customer. The German carmaker said it plans to deliver 60 F-Cell cars to other customers in Japan, the United States, Germany and Singapore over two years beginning this year.

        Toyota delivers fuel-cell cars to Aichi, Nagoya, firms

        NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. delivers its fuel-cell powered vehicle to the government of Aichi Prefecture on Aug. 22. The prefectural government, along with the Nagoya municipal government, is the first local entities to lease the company's fuel-cell cars. Toyota also delivered fuel-cell cars to its first corporate customers, including Tokyo Gas Co., Nippon Oil Corp., and Toho Gas Co. the same day.
