Gov't asks Kyoto court to dismiss suit by 'war orphans'

KYOTO, Japan - A group of Japanese, who were separated from their parents in China at the end of World War II, and their lawyers enter the Kyoto District Court on Dec. 11. They claim the Japanese government failed to launch a repatriation program early enough or take appropriate steps to help them settle in Japan. The government asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
