Dubai using resort appeal to draw Japanese
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Dubai is drawing many Japanese as a resort destination in the United Arab Emirates. The frequency of direct flights from Japan to the city, now available four times weekly, will become daily in late March. A weeklong tour costs 200,000-300,000 yen, and some include stays in luxury or desert hotels. Katsuyoshi Nakamura, head of Emirates Airline's Japan branch, said Japanese have begun to appreciate the safety of the Persian Gulf country.
