Ex-Foreign Minister Ikeda dies at 66
TOKYO, Japan - Former Japanese Foreign Minister Yukihiko Ikeda has died, sources close to him said Jan. 28. He was 66. Ikeda, a House of Representatives member from the Liberal Democratic Party, served as foreign minister from January 1996 to September 1997 after serving in such cabinet posts as director general of the Defense Agency.
