WFP calls for urgent supply of food aid to N. Korea
BEIJING, China - Masood Hyder, the World Food Program's representative for North Korea, calls for urgent international food assistance to North Korea at a news conference in Beijing on Feb. 9. He said the WFP's 2004 operation in North Korea needs 485,000 tons of commodities but so far only 140,000 tons have been secured and much less has been delivered.
