300 Iraq-bound troops attend send-off party

ASAHIKAWA, Japan - A send-off party for some 300 Ground Self-Defense Force members to be deployed to the southern Iraqi city of Samawah is held at the Ground Self-Defense Force base in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, on Feb. 14. The members will depart for the southern Iraqi city of Samawah in several groups beginning later this month on a humanitarian mission.
