TOKYO, Japan - Policemen are on their guard outside the Defense Agency building in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward early on the morning of Feb. 18 after radical opponents of Japan's deployment of troops to Iraq made an abortive attempt to attack the agency. No one was hurt and there were no reports of damage from the incident which occurred around 11 p.m. on Feb. 17.

      TOKYO, Japan - Police officers check a graveyard in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward on Feb. 18 after radical opponents of Japan's deployment of troops to Iraq made an abortive attempt overnight to attack the Defense Agency building not away from the site. The police said they concluded after checking two projectiles in a temple near the agency and other materials in connection with the case that it was a guerrilla attack.
