(2) Robots show off skills in Fukuoka shopping arcade

FUKUOKA, Japan - A humanoid robot picks up a handbag at a shop in Fukuoka on Feb. 21 as passersby and media photographers watch. A group of university and corporate researchers tested various robots in a shopping arcade in the city in the first experiment of its kind in Japan. The northern Kyushu city has been designated as a special zone for robot research and development.
