(1)S. Korea's Grand National Party chooses new leader
SEOUL, South Korea - Park Geun Hye waves at her supporters after being elected leader of South Korea's opposition Grand National Party (GNP) in a Seoul hotel on March 23. The 52-year-old Park, eldest daughter of former President Park Chung Hee, got 2,614 votes, 51.8%, in a five-way race to easily best former party floor leader Hong Sa Duk, who got 1,453 votes.
