Tokyo gov't launches operator of planned new bank
TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara (R) joins an unveiling ceremony for the plate of a new bank, tentatively called New Bank Tokyo, at the metropolitan government building on April 1 as the local government officially launched the company that will operate the bank to begin operations next year to finance small and midsize companies.
