Okinawa beach opens for summer tourism season

NAHA, Japan - Children take to the beach in Naha as the main island of Okinawa kicked off the summer tourism season on April 4 much earlier than the rest of Japan. They enjoyed their first swim at Naminoue Beach, located on the west side of Wakasa Seaside Park in the city. The temperature in the city was 19.5 C in the morning, about average for the time of year.
