Hitachi develops new magnetocardiogram

TOKYO, Japan - High-tech giant Hitachi Ltd. said June 1 it has developed a new, smaller version of its magnetocardiogram (in photo) that can detect heart disease more precisely than widely used electrocardiograms. Hitachi, which launched the world's first magnetocardiogram in 2003 for medical institutions, developed the latest version to gain the mobility for use in mass-screening and group medical checkups.
