(1)Mitsukoshi to close stores in Osaka, Yokohama, Kurashiki

OSAKA, Japan - The Osaka store of major department store operator Mitsukoshi Ltd. is to be shut down on May 5, 2005 along with the company's two other stores in Yokohama and Osaka. Mitsukoshi said on Sept. 30 it has decided on the move in view of the dwindling profitability at the stores.
