Seibu holds off Daiei to win PL pennant

FUKUOKA, Japan - Seibu Lions players toss team manager Tsutomu Ito in celebrating the team's 4-3 victory over the Daiei Hawks in the decider of the Pacific League playoffs at Fukuoka Dome on Oct. 11. The Lions will have a showdown with the Central League champion Chunichi Dragons in the best-of-seven Japan Series starting Saturday at Nagoya Dome.
