(1)Machimura feels Futemma base relocation must speed up

GINOWAN, Japan - Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura speaks with a municipal government official on Oct. 16 during his visit to the scene of a CH-53D U.S. military chopper crash in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, in August 2004. Machimura said later it is necessary to accelerate the relocation of some of the U.S. Marine Corps Futemma Air Station's functions in the prefecture in line with a Japan-U.S. agreement.
