2 babies born at reopened clinic in quake-hit Niigata
NIIGATA, Japan - Two women have given birth at a freshly reopened maternity clinic in Ojiya, one of the communities in Niigata Prefecture worst hit by the devastating earthquakes of Oct. 23. Kumiko Suzuki (L), a 30-year-old local government employee in the town of Oguni, gave birth to a boy on Nov. 5 while Izumi Wada, a 29-year-old housewife in the town of Koshiji, gave birth to a girl two days later.
