Koizumi voices concern over Suu Kyi's extended detention
VIENTIANE, Laos - Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (R) is in talks with Myanmar Prime Minister Lt. Gen. Soe Win on the sidelines of a series of meetings sponsored by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on Nov. 29. During their chat on Nov. 30, Koizumi voiced concerns over the Myanmar junta's reported decision to extend the house arrest of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi for up to a year.
