CIA saw no al-Qaida-Iraq link before invasion: ex-agent
WASHINGTON, United States - Michael Scheuer, a senior adviser to the head of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's Bin Laden Department until November 2004, has told Kyodo News the CIA had concluded two months before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003 there was no connection between the President Saddam Hussein's government and the al-Qaida terrorist network.
