BEIJING, China - Chinese President Hu Jintao (R in middle row) and Premier Wen Jiabao (L in middle row) applaud after the Chinese parliament was briefed March 8 on a draft antisecession law, which is a major focus of the current 10-day parliamentary session that opened March 5. The draft law would give legal backing to China's possible taking of 'nonpeaceful means' against Taiwan.
