Taiwan lawmaker says Yasukuni war criminals paid for crimes
TOKYO, Japan - Su Chin-chiang, chairman of the Taiwan Solidarity Union, an opposition party and occasional strategic partner of the governing Democratic Progressive Party, speaks in an interview with Kyodo News at a Tokyo hotel on April 4. Su who visited Tokyo's war-related Yasukuni Shrine said he believes the Class-A World War II criminals enshrined there have paid for their crimes with their deaths.
