ADB asks Japan to rally G-8 support to combat poverty in Asia
GINOWAN, Japan - Asian Development Bank President Haruhiko Kuroda tells Kyodo News in an interview in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, on April 8 that Asian economies want Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to tell the Group of Eight summit in July that the developed world must make greater commitments to reducing poverty in Asia because the region has most of the world's impoverished.
