Theme park operator Space World files for bankruptcy

KITAKYUSHU, Japan - Photo taken on April 15 shows Space World, a theme park in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, run by Space World Inc., a subsidiary of Nippon Steel Corp. The operator of the park said May 13 that it has applied for court protection from creditors under the Civil Rehabilitation Law with an estimated 35 billion yen of debts.
