Japanese SDF vehicles leave Samawah base for 1st time since blast
SAMAWAH, Iraq - Japanese Self-Defense Forces vehicles leave their camp in the southern Iraq city of Samawah on June 29, the first time since a roadside explosion near the camp on June 23 that was apparently targeting a Japanese convoy. A GSDF high-mobility armored vehicle in the convoy was damaged in the blast but no one was injured.
