Remains of soldiers who died in 1939 Nomonhan Incident back home
TOKYO, Japan - Relatives of those who died in the 1939 Battle of the River Halka, known as the Nomonhan Incident, pray as the remains of eight soldiers who died in the battle have been brought back to Japan and were placed at a mortuary inside the health ministry in Tokyo on Aug. 11. The remains were collected near the border of Mongolia and China.
