Mineichi Iwanaga picked as farm minister
TOKYO, Japan - Mineichi Iwanaga, who was picked as farm minister by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi following the dismissal of Yoshinobu Shimamura from the post, speaks during a news conference at his ministry on Aug. 11. Shimamura was dismissed for opposing the dissolution of the House of Representatives after Koizumi's postal privatization bills failed to clear the Diet.
