Livedoor's Horie hoping to run in election in Hiroshima: Koizumi

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi speaks to reporters at his office on Aug. 18. He said Livedoor Co. President Takafumi Horie has told his ruling Liberal Democratic Party that he hopes to run in the upcoming election in a constituency in Hiroshima Prefecture. The constituency is where Shizuka Kamei, a stern critic of Koizumi, is expected to run in the Sept. 11 general election.
