Ehime schools to use controversial history textbooks

MATSUYAMA, Japan - Members of the Ehime prefectural education board hold a news conference on Aug. 26 to discuss their decision earlier in the day to adopt a controversial Japanese history textbook, which is under criticism that it whitewashes Japan's wartime aggression, for use at four prefecture-run schools from the 2006 academic year.
