Japan, U.S. should cope with ascent of China: Armitage
WASHINGTON, United States - Former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage responds to questions in an interview with Kyodo News in Washington on Sept. 14. He expressed hope that the administration of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, following a victory for his ruling political party in the House of Representatives election, will closely cooperate with the United States to cope with the ascent of China.
