Artificially bred storks released into wild for 1st time anywhere
TOYOOKA, Japan - An artificially bred white oriental stork (top right) released into the wild for the first time in the world in Hyogo Prefecture flies high above people on Sept. 24. Two male and three female storks aged between 2 and 7 were released from a breeding farm in the city of Toyooka in a ceremony attended by Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko.
