U.N. agency chief urges Japan not to cut U.N. contribution
GENEVA, Switzerland - U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres urged Japan Sept. 29 not to reduce its contributions to the United Nations despite a delay in discussions over U.N. Security Council reform. Some in the Japanese government suggested Japan should reduce its financial contributions to the U.N.
