JCP put up 'good, brave fight' in general election, Shii says
TOKYO, Japan - The Japanese Communist Party leader, Kazuo Shii, said at the opening of the party's Central Executive Committee general meeting on Oct. 10 that his party had put up ''a good fight'' in the Sept. 11 general election in the face of the popularity of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
