Small plane crash-lands in residential area, British pilot hurt
KANAZAWA, Japan - A small plane crash-landed at a road construction site in a residential area of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, on Oct. 21, leaving its British pilot injured. Maurice John Kirk, 60, the owner of the propeller plane who was taken to a hospital with injuries to his right ankle, was quoted as saying he was on a solo round-the-world flight, police said.
