Inamine rejects Japan-U.S. Futemma relocation plan
NAHA, Japan - Defense Facilities Administration Agency Director General Iwao Kitahara (L) meets Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine on Oct. 31 to explain the plans for realignment of U.S. forces in Japan agreed to by the Japanese and U.S. governments. Later, a senior Okinawa prefectural government official said that Inamine rejected the plan to relocate the U.S. Marine Corps Futemma Air Station within the prefecture.
