Stealth mini camera found at UFJ Bank ATM in Aichi

NAGOYA, Japan - A stealth mini camera has been found installed at an automated teller machine of UFJ Bank in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, the police said Oct. 31. The camera was placed inside a black plastic box taped to the front of the ATM, which was in a supermarket in Okazaki, they said.

15,000 child porno DVDs confiscated in Sendai

NAGOYA, Japan - Stacks of child pornographic DVDs confiscated in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture are on display at Toyota police station in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture on June 15. According to the police, 15,000 child porno DVDS from seized from a Sendai mansion in what officials believe to be the single largest DVD seizure from one location. Three men were arrested in Sendai on suspicion of selling 44 child porno DVDs to two men in Aichi in December for 20,500 yen. The three suspects have allegedly been selling child porno DVDs online since August 2005, netting more than 100 million yen, police say.

Fire destroys Aichi temple, state cultural treasure
