Rakuten facing uphill battle with baseball owners

SAPPORO, Japan - A meeting of baseball team owners is held at a Sapporo hotel Nov. 4 to discuss whether Rakuten Inc. has infringed on Japanese baseball bylaws by emerging as Tokyo Broadcasting System Inc.'s largest shareholder. TBS is the parent company of the Yokohama BayStars.
