Nikkei jumps to end above 15,000 for 1st time in 5 years
TOKYO, Japan - A pedestrian looks at the price board at a brokerage house in Tokyo's Marunouchi district on Dec. 1. Growing investor confidence in brighter Japanese economic prospects sent the key Nikkei stock index to end at 15,139.50, climbing above 15,000 for the first time in nearly five years.
