WWF announces possible discovery of new carnivore species in Borneo

GENEVA, Switzerland - An artist's image released by conservationist group WWF International on Dec. 6 shows what may be a new carnivore species discovered by its researchers in Kayan Mentarang National Park, located in the Indonesian part of Borneo, known as Kalimantan. WWF said the mammal with small ears and large hind legs could be a new species of marten or civet cat, or an entirely new species.
