Japanese strategy at 1921-22 Washington confab found in secret files
WASHINGTON, United States - Photo released by the U.S. Library of Congress shows Japanese delegates (upper left) attending a welcome ceremony in San Francisco before the start of the Washington Conference in Nove,ber 1921. The library has in its possession classified Japanese Imperial Army documents detailing its strategy for and views on the conference, which was held to limit a naval arms race and set security arrangements in the Asia-Pacific region.
