Fuwa quits as JCP's Central Committee chairman
ATAMI, Japan - Tetsuzo Fuwa (R, front), 75, the opposition Japanese Communist Party's top executive, says Jan. 14 he will quit as chairman of the Central Committee due to old age. His withdrawal was approved at the close of the party's four-day convention in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, the same day.
