Moderate on relocation plan wins in Nago election
NAGO, Japan - Yoshikazu Shimabukuro, 59, former chairman of the city assembly, wins the mayoral election in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, on Jan. 22. Shimabukuro is more flexible than the two other candidates on opposition to a government plan to relocate a U.S. military airport to their city.
